Shortening Coat
this was one of the alterations that has been on my list to check off! This last week I got to shorten 2 coats a suit coat and an overcoat- one with a curve and one with a miter corner. Wasn't as difficult as I was thinking it would be so that is supaaa exciting. I have got just 2 more suit things (that are more standard alterations) and I can consider myself a well versed suit tailor! Then the mastery can begin 🥳
The others
now to learn: a recut on a pant, where we adjust the shape of the pockets and shape of both pant panels and shortening a coat sleeve from the top, this is especially helpful to keep functional buttonholes, or any details that are wanted to be kept. Pretty exciting stuff
