Atropos

for the upcoming runway with the design collective, my theme is the three fates from Greek mythology. For the third and final gate, Atropos, the challenge was for an outfit that would fit, and would help portray my boyfriend a bit in the creation of the outfit. Now there is lots of cuttin involved for sewing, so within the design it helps portray that. In more detail of what else is going on: the pants for this outfit match the pants for the weaver, clotho- indicating a full circle feel of the creator and the end and how both are inevitable and connected, and in my opinion they have similar jobs. To cut something it to create something new the same as weaving. I love the peekabo detail on this shirt, at first I was like no one will see it cause it'll be buttoned up- but I'm a sucker in my clothes for the hidden/small details so I went for it and then it helped create an intentional very fun way to rock the shirt. I had so much fun creating this, the most fun I've had in a long time while sewing; it was refreshing and exactly what I wanted :)
