Dresses, shirts, and repairs.

I've gotten the opportunity to work on more projects where the shape of the armhole or the strap has needed reshaping and have been fine tuning that. The vest was so satisfying, taking in the lining the same as the external fabric and resetting the armhole lining. For the dress shirt and shortening the sleeves on them it looks best to reset the whole cuff and placket and I'm getting much faster and more efficient! Plus the process and really cleaned up and the final result is more to my liking now, win on win on win! 🏆 the dress was a difficult feat, there's topstitch on both side of the strap but only for the lining so figuring out how to get the topstitch on there was interesting, my coworker told me I'd only be able to topstitch one side of the lining to keep it from sliding around but I wouldn't be able to get both sides 😅 so that was a relief cause I could NoT figure out how I was going to do that. It's a great practice to reset things as they were originally, it's a great guideline on how the alteration should be and could be done and then also ensures the customer will be happy with the result because not much has changed!
